“Their list keeps getting shorter. Pray you aren’t on it.”
A young protégé of Edward Snowden flees the NSA after she learns that her project (KNOLL) is designed to detect and destroy any person with new facts about the conspiracy to assassinate JFK. The project’s latest target: a small-town attorney, son of a mysteriously murdered cop, who has just discovered his family’s involvement with deceased Mafia Kingpin Carlos Marcello, and the events that day in Dallas. All paths lead to a small Louisiana town that still hides its secrets, and converge on the doorstep of Marcello’s still-active savant of assassins. He is unstoppable. His creed: Omerta Is Forever.
From the author:
While a work of fiction, much of this book is based on true facts. It follows closely a very real set of people, circumstances, and events that occurred in North Louisiana in 1963. The dedication is thus a natural. To my father, Dean Crandall Hillard, who left with me a legacy of questions and inspiration. And, of course, to the fictional world of Junction City, which lies but an imagined half-parallel from the real city of Grand Junction, Colorado, where I had the good fortune to live in an especially formative moment of my life.

“KNOLL is part political thriller, part mystery and part historical fiction with just enough of each genre to appeal to most readers”
—SA Examiner
“[KNOLL] is a must-read for anyone who thinks there was more to the JFK assassination than we were told.”
—In Our Spare Time
“Involved, mysterious, exciting, AND a conspiracy. Great fun!”
—Mystery Suspense Reviews
“The eccentric but strangely emotion-evoking characters kept me reading. Whether you label it thriller, fiction, or mystery, or just read it as a book about a man seeking the truth about his father, KNOLL is a commendable work.”
—Collected Works
“Hillard’s writing style is lyrical and polished. His narrative style allows the suspense to build. Shifting locales are described with a deft hand and characters are introduced that add to the narrative whether by way of expanding the story or serving as a misdirection. Knoll is a wonderful thriller. If you’re looking for a summer read to take on vacation, pick it up today.”
